About the Journal

Please note: The International Journal of Coaching and Organizational Development (IJCOD) is a new journal. It will be published for the first time in July 2025. Indexing in DOAJ, Web of Science and Scopus, among others, will be sought. We are looking forward to submissions for the first issue!

Focus & Scope / Topics

The International Journal of Coaching and Organizational Development (IJCOD, ISSN: 3052-3974) is a scientific Open Access journal for current development in research on coaching and organizational development.

The International Journal of Coaching and Organizational Development publishes high-quality research on coaching, leadership, and organizational development. Topics include (but are not limited to) executive and business coaching, leadership effectiveness, talent development, organizational change, workplace learning, team dynamics, employee engagement, and performance improvement. The journal also welcomes studies on coaching methodologies, psychological and behavioral aspects of coaching, evidence-based coaching practices, and the impact of coaching on individuals and organizations. Empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and case studies that contribute to the advancement of coaching and organizational development are highly encouraged.

All research papers, whether original research, case study, literature review or technical concept, are

  • rigorously, timely and construcively peer-reviewed
  • freely available Open Access (CC BY 3.0 license)
  • indexed in Crossref
  • with an ISSN from the National Library of Germany
  • assigned with a DOI

The International Journal of Coaching and Organizational Development is listed in the journal database (ZDB) of the German National Library, in the German National Bibliography and in the ISSN Portal.

IJCOD: Open Access Journal

Scientific knowledge should be available to everyone – free of charge. We as a publisher are convinced of this. That is why the IJCOD – like all our journals – is an open access journal. Frequency of Publication

The International Journal of Coaching and Organizational Development is published twice a year.

Articles accepted for publication are published continuously, i.e. in the respective current issue. This form of continuous publication is particularly interesting for authors who want their paper to be published promptly.
